An all natural spice and rare delicacy which can be used in place of regular black pepper. Native to West Africa it was grown in the Caribbean and widely used as table top pepper in the west until the 1800's when black peppercorns from the the Far East came into play. Has a warm and powerful flavor with a hint of cardamom and ginger. Always on our table, a little goes a long way.
